He and She

A boy with a beautiful heart
Saw more than met the eye.
He liked her from the start,
She could tell by

The way he smiled at her,
And she couldn't not smile back,

Did she know that she'd turn black.

She didn't know that she
Could long for him that way,
And didn't know that he
Would be hers later that day.
